Notes:	"The Candle" received an honourable mention in The Best Horror of the Year, Volume 4 edited by Ellen Datlow. This quiet little horror story was inspired by the year my wife and I rented the first floor of a house in downtown Peterborough. The couple in the story isn't us, but nearly everything else is true. Except for what happens to them.
