Results for the Zoetrope short story contest were e-mailed out last night, and I didn’t win, place or show. 2,500 entries, though, so I don’t feel too bad. It was quite the competition. Of course, I’ve also entered three or four contests this year and didn’t get even an honourable mention from any of them. Oh well, that’s how it goes sometimes. There’s always next year.
On the plus side, we’ve been getting a lot of snow here over the past week, and all the shovelling I’ve been doing is finally getting me in shape.
Incidentally, I’ve sent the rejected story on to Murky Depths, who sent me a very encouraging rejection letter for the last story I sent them.
