Also, here’s another positive review of Horror Library, Volume 2 from Bookgasm.
We had a pretty good first Halloween in the new house, with about 60 kids showing up at our door to get candy from Spider-Man. The best part of the evening was Kathryn and I standing on the porch and overhearing a kid across the street saying, “That’s the house where Spider-Man lives!” It’s quite the neighbourhood rep to have.

The good news just keeps coming, eh?
Yeah, which means it will probably be a very quiet winter. :) I only have something like five other stories left to come out! I need to refill my supply!
I’m expecting this one in the post any day now.
Thanks for buying them all, Shell. I really appreciate the support.
I think you’ll really dig this story. The last few that came out, my East Coast series, were kind of light and fantasy-ish. This one is a straight out hardboiled detective story with a horror twist. Horror-boiled, I call it. Lots of action, lots of scares.
Good to see the creds mounting up Ian!
Thanks, Ally!
Congratulations, Ian, and thanks for the comments at my site. I’m still working out the kinks there, so it may be a bit before I’m making regular entries. I’m dead impressed with the credits your racking up. Truth be told, you’ve become (without your knowledge or approval) my friendly rival. I check in regularly at your blog and say something like, “Holy Crap! He sold another one!” I doubt very much that I’ll be able to keep up with your productivity, but I’m at least somewhat motivated by competition, so maybe it will help me. Rest assured my competitiveness stops at comparison. I wish you the best in your writing career. Cheers, Chris
And my God! I just noticed you’ve got a Cemetery Dance story coming out. You bastard… I’m numb with jealously.
Thanks for the kind words, Chris. Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition, I say. Keeps the whole thing fun, which is must be in order to keep doing it. :)
You’ve got some impressive credits yourself. We seem to move in the same circles, and I really dig that. There’s nothing better than seeing a familiar name on the table of contents of a mag I like.
The feeling’s mutual. If you’re ever in Ann Arbor, MI, let me know. Cheers.
Likewise for you if you’re ever in the Toronto area.
