My parents came over for dinner today because they wanted to give Kat and I our wedding present early. We were told to go for a walk while they set it up, so we left, somewhat confused, and came back about twenty minutes later.
They told us to close our eyes, and led us into the living room and presented us with a huge 46-inch Sony widescreen television. To say it was a surprise would be a very large understatement. Kat and I don’t watch much TV, opting to watch our favorite shows when they come out on DVD, but we watch a lot of movies, and I’ve had the same 19-inch TV for over ten years. It was old and the picture tube was starting to degrade, and we figured we’d get a new one once we get a house. Nice to be able to cross that one off the list. Our first wedding present. Woo!
I should have gotten married years ago!

Nice!!!
You have to post a picture! Movies are going to be so much better!
It’s pretty sweet. We watched a bit of Batman Begins and Return of the King (the part with Shelob), and the picture is simply stunning. I’ll post a pic of it when I get home.
Looks like we’ve got another reason for you to come back to the ‘Borough. :)
Lucky !! Patty and I were married by a justice of the peace dude (a sh*t-kicker wearing cowboy boots and a bolo tie) and didn’t have a “real” wedding ceremony/reception. Maybe when I get married for the second time ;-)
That’s pretty much how we’re going. Kat and I are both nonreligious, so we got a guy who’s going to give a fairly standard ceremony with the importance more on love and companionship than the sort of shtick where the woman ends up sounding like property.
Yes…cause I am definitely no man’s property!
Not yet, anyway…
Oh yeah, I am “Anonymous,” I forgot to leave my name; what can I tell you ? I’m on glue.
Well, I don’t have a lot of people in the first place who comment on this site, and only one who’s married to a Patty, so it was fairly easy to figure out who it was. :)
Here’s that pic…
“Ian, are you spooning the TV?”
Have you watched Degrassi on that beauty yet ?
Not yet. We’re eagerly awaiting the release of Degrassi High on DVD.
